Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) for a 13-week contract assignment in New York NY. This role requires a skilled professional who can produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and adherence to established radiologic standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures using proper techniques
Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure settings for optimal image quality
Follow radiation safety protocols including shielding and exposure control
Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality and accuracy
Accurately document patient procedures and maintain medical records
Monitor radiology equipment performance and report issues as needed
Maintain inventory of radiology supplies
Adhere to all facility policies procedures and regulatory requirements
Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Qualifications
25 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
ARRT certification required
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Excellent communication and patient care skills
High attention to detail and quality standards
Flexibility to work variable and extended shifts
Proficiency in English (reading writing and speaking)
