Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) for a 13-week contract assignment in New York NY. This role requires a skilled professional who can produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and adherence to established radiologic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures using proper techniques
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure settings for optimal image quality
- Follow radiation safety protocols including shielding and exposure control
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
- Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality and accuracy
- Accurately document patient procedures and maintain medical records
- Monitor radiology equipment performance and report issues as needed
- Maintain inventory of radiology supplies
- Adhere to all facility policies procedures and regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Flexibility to work variable and extended shifts
- Proficiency in English (reading writing and speaking)
