About Us
Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan the mission of Good Samaritan Education is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning.

About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Languages Teacher (French) to join the Languages Department in a Temporary full-time (1.0FTE) capacity.
Commencing in August 2026 (start date negotiable) and reporting to the Languages Coordinator the successful candidate will be required to teach French across all year levels including Year 12. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach an additional subject area.
The Languages Teacher (French) will play an active role within a dynamic and collaborative Languages department working across all year groups and contributing to a range of team responsibilities under the guidance of the Languages Coordinator. The faculty is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement underpinned by a strong commitment to student-centred learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and high-performing team environment.

Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners dedicated team players interested in the care and welfare of students and have particular skills in their teaching of Language (French) to equip them to contribute to the Colleges educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants will also need to be skilled in the use of educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding educator who is highly motivated to support Rosebank College to ensure continued academic achievement by inspiring and developing innovative learning that engages and values every learner. Selection Criteria:- Ability to teach French to Stage 6 with the capacity to teach an additional subject area desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that promote academic excellence
- Commitment to continuous improvement and data-informed teaching
- Sound knowledge of NESA curriculum requirements for Languages (French)
- Proven ability to integrate technology into teaching practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Commitment to child safeguarding principles
- Willingness to actively support the Catholic ethos and mission of the College
