Security Guard Part Time (Weekends)

Position Overview:

Wages: $19.10/hr

Shift timings: 12PM-12AM Saturday and Sunday

Location: Vaughan Ontario (Highway 7 and Highway 27)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.

• Escort medical staff including paramedics police and firefighters when required.

• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.

• Denying entry to anyone without authorization.Verifying credentials and ensure that each visitor possesses the necessary credentials to be granted access to site.

• Operate gates at gatehouse locations screening all visitors and truck drivers.

• Inspect trailers ensuring trailer doors are locked and sealed before the truck leaves.

• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Loss prevention duties.

• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.

• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

• 1 years of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is required. Experience at Logistics sites is a strong asset.

• 1 year of loss prevention experienced is preferred.

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.

• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
