The role

  • Continuing Full time
  • Level 7 - $101421 to $110819 (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga Bathurst Dubbo Orange or Wagga Wagga

As the Academic Skills Coordinator you will be providing expert leadership advice and support to the University regarding student academic literacy and learning development. You will be developing and delivering high quality resources and programs (on-campus and online) fostering relationships with academic staff to promote the services provided by the Student Skills team and providing leadership to a team of student facing advisers including developing a collaborative creative and inclusive culture.

This position will provide support primarily to students and academic staff in the Faculty of Arts and Education. Expertise in academic writing language and literacy and ability to teach and write content is required. A background in education (early childhood primary and/or secondary) would be highly regarded.

About you

  • A relevant degree (ideally in education English and/or literature) or an equivalent level of knowledge skills and/or experience.
  • Expertise and ability to teach academic writing language and literacy in a tertiary setting.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven technology skills and capacity to effectively utilise the online environment to support students.
  • Demonstrated capacity to coordinate the work of others prioritise work meet deadlines and produce high-quality outcomes.

The successful applicant will be required to produce satisfy and maintain a Working with Children Check in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW).
