We arelooking for:

OncologyVeterinaryAssistant

OurOncologydepartmentassistswith chemotherapyand radiation treatmentsvenipuncture IV catheter placement as well as client education and is a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detailcompassionand a desire to drive excellent patient care.

Whatyoulldo:

Managing appointments: obtaining histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc. as well as organize and manage daily service flow

Ensure documentation isaccurateand complete

Assistwithchemotherapy and radiation therapy protocols

Safety as it relates to secondary exposure and patient safety

Administration procedures including extravasation protocols

Medicationsprotocolsand related drug dosages

Drug calculations as they relate to the treatment plan

Side effects and general treatment guidelines

Vertical-flow hood maintenance

Clinical studies/trials

Setting up/assistingwith CT and radiation treatments

Venipuncture restraint basic laboratory skills

Intravenous catheter placement endotrachealintubationand anesthetic equipment use and maintenance

Client communicationand education

Whoyou are:

Prior veterinary experiencerequiredpreviousoncologyexperience desired

Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)

Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
