We arelooking for:
OncologyVeterinaryAssistant
OurOncologydepartmentassistswith chemotherapyand radiation treatmentsvenipuncture IV catheter placement as well as client education and is a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detailcompassionand a desire to drive excellent patient care.

Whatyoulldo:
  • Managing appointments: obtaining histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc. as well as organize and manage daily service flow
  • Ensure documentation isaccurateand complete
  • Assistwithchemotherapy and radiation therapy protocols
  • Safety as it relates to secondary exposure and patient safety
  • Administration procedures including extravasation protocols
  • Medicationsprotocolsand related drug dosages
  • Drug calculations as they relate to the treatment plan
  • Side effects and general treatment guidelines
  • Vertical-flow hood maintenance
  • Clinical studies/trials
  • Setting up/assistingwith CT and radiation treatments
  • Venipuncture restraint basic laboratory skills
  • Intravenous catheter placement endotrachealintubationand anesthetic equipment use and maintenance
  • Client communicationand education
Whoyou are:
  • Prior veterinary experiencerequiredpreviousoncologyexperience desired
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
