Experience: 1 years paralegal experience in EL/PL personal injury
An award-winning North Leeds law firm is looking to recruit an EL/PL Paralegal to join its Personal Injury team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys running claims end-to-end takes pride in client care and wants to build deeper experience across both portal and litigated EL/PL matters.
You will handle a caseload of Employers Liability and Public Liability personal injury claims including litigated matters from issue through to trial.
Key tasks will include:
Dealing with new enquiries and vetting claims
Managing an existing caseload of EL/PL claims including litigated files
Drafting letters of claim and claims notification forms
Investigating and resolving liability
Requesting medical records
Arranging medical examinations and reviewing medical evidence
Valuing claims and advising on quantum
Liaising with third party insurers and solicitors
Negotiating settlements
Managing Part 7 and Part 8 litigated files including applications where required
Undertaking fee earning work and contributing to team performance
What Were Looking For
Essential:
At least 1 years experience as a paralegal handling EL/PL personal injury claims
A competent understanding of personal injury litigation
Experience running portal claims from start to finish
Experience running litigated files and dealing with applications
Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
Excellent client care and communication skills
Flexible team-focused approach
Desirable:
Experience using case management systems and time recording (ideally Proclaim)
