Our Trauma Program Coordinator will be responsible for Trauma Prevention Education also provide injury prevention and trauma care. Work directly with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Committee to develop and implement injury prevention education. Serve as a resource to nursing staff pre-hospital personnel and other outside personnel related to trauma care and injury prevention education. Acts as a spokesperson for injury and trauma prevention issues. Establishes and implements strategies for continuous improvement.

A Trauma Program Coordinatorwho excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments andidentifiespatient needs
• Identifiesandinitiatesappropriate nursinginterventions

• Assists the Emergency Department Nurse Manager in the development implementation and evaluation of performance improvement indicators to improve patient outcomes and the work environment.

• Provides careappropriate tocondition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentationrelating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments

Whatwerelooking for:

Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include

• BLS Required
• ACLS PALS and Handle with Care preferred
• ER/Trauma Experience Required
• Trauma Coordinator Experience Preferred
