LOCATION: Gibbs School
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Middle School level
- Degrees in Mathematics and Education preferred
- Experience working with students at the Middle School Level.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous mathematics lessons
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with varied learning profiles
- Assess student performance formally and informally and provide timely feedback to students on their progress
- Teach four sections of grade 6 mathematics classes and one section of a WIN block (what I need)
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student outcomes and share best practices for teaching mathematics.
- Foster a positive inclusive and respectful classroom culture where all students feel supported and encouraged to participate.
- Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction grading and communication to parents and families
- Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrators.
