Position: Physical Therapist (P-Physical Therapist)
Salary Range: $40 - $52 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday with one weekend day per month
Location: Large skilled nursing facility
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (P-Physical Therapist) will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients at our large skilled nursing facility. This includes working with patients who are in need of post-hospital short term rehab as well as those who require long term care. The P-Physical Therapist will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient based on their specific condition and goals
- Implement and monitor treatment plans making adjustments as needed
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility strength and function
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as nurses and doctors to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for discharge or further treatment as needed
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques and incorporate them into practice
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
