Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Veterinarian to join and help lead a modern state-of-the-art veterinary facility in the Boston area. This role involves delivering high-quality medical and surgical care for companion animals while helping build and guide a growing veterinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to advance into leadership and potentially grow into a Director of Operations role.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in companion animals (primarily dogs and cats)
Perform surgical and medical procedures as needed
Conduct wellness exams and administer vaccinations
Perform dental procedures
Provide client education and preventive care guidance
Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff within the clinic
Work with hospital leadership to maintain high standards of care
Participate in continuing education training and professional development
Contribute to a positive team-oriented work environment
Support efficient time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution
5 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Eligible for veterinary licensure (state requirements applicable)
Strong diagnostic surgical and medical skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership or mentoring experience
Interest in practice growth and operations management
Strong communication and client relationship skills
