Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Veterinarian to join and help lead a modern state-of-the-art veterinary facility in the Boston area. This role involves delivering high-quality medical and surgical care for companion animals while helping build and guide a growing veterinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to advance into leadership and potentially grow into a Director of Operations role.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in companion animals (primarily dogs and cats)
- Perform surgical and medical procedures as needed
- Conduct wellness exams and administer vaccinations
- Perform dental procedures
- Provide client education and preventive care guidance
- Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff within the clinic
- Work with hospital leadership to maintain high standards of care
- Participate in continuing education training and professional development
- Contribute to a positive team-oriented work environment
- Support efficient time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 5 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Eligible for veterinary licensure (state requirements applicable)
- Strong diagnostic surgical and medical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Interest in practice growth and operations management
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
