The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union #31 districts are seeking multiple certified nurses to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review health records for all students. Assess and evaluate students health while at the ESY program as needed.
- Document first aid and illness care provided to staff and students; complete accident reports and maintain a health room activity log.
- Maintain First Aid supplies and equipment in appropriate locations.
- Utilize effective techniques to counsel students parents and school personnel and plan action for eliminating minimizing or accepting health problems.
- Administer medication as prescribed and approved
- Nurses will be assigned by the Director of Student Services or designee to sites that best meet the needs of the students and programming
ESY Program Overview
- Students participate in the program from July 7 -August 6 2026 Monday - Thursday
- ESY programs serve students aged 3-22
- Orientation and Open House July 2 2026 8am - 12pm
- Days & times of services:
- Grades K-12: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
- PreK: 8:30am - 11am or 9am - 11:30am
- Staff start time is 8:15am
Nurses will also be compensated for non time as follows:
- 5 hours for Open House and Orientation
- 5 hours of pre program prep to organize physicals emergency forms and medications as needed
Compensation for this assignment will be $40 per hour.
