About the Role

As aSenior Design Engineering Technologist you will leadelectrical installation projects with a strong mechanical focus ensuring electrical systems are effectively packaged protected and integrated within complex application environments. Youll work across the full product lifecyclefrom early concept through productioncollaborating closely withmechanical electrical system manufacturing and supplier teams.

This role is ideal forMechanical Engineering Technologists with experience in vehicle systems structures packaging routing and integration as well as Electrical Engineering Technologists who enjoy working at the intersection of both disciplines.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the mechanicaldesign and integration of electrical systems within complex vehicle platforms ensuring robust routing protection and packaging.

  • Design and developcomponents brackets harness routing paths enclosures and installation schemesthat balance electrical performance with mechanical durability.

  • Owncost quality validation and schedulefor assigned projects.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensuremanufacturability serviceability and lifecycle efficiency.

  • Partner with manufacturing teams to addressassembly feasibility tolerance stack-up and installation repeatability.

  • Assist supply specialists and buyers withsupplier development and performance improvement.

  • Drive collaboration acrossproduct development value chain manufacturing commercial and product supportorganizations.

  • Research and develop new technologies related tovehicle integration packaging thermal considerations and durability.

  • Develop and documentfunctional and installation design requirements including mechanical constraints and environmental considerations.

  • Lead and participate indesign reviews ensuring conformance to electrical and mechanical design standards and best practices.

  • Organize coordinate and executeprototype builds testing and analysis including fit form function and durability assessments.

Top Candidates Will Have

  • Experience withLarge Wheel Loaders Wheel Tractor Scrapers heavy equipment or mining applications.

  • Background inmechanical engineering technology electrical engineering technology or integrated systems design.

  • Hands-on experience withvehicle systems integration including routing packaging structural interfaces and installation design.

  • Experience working within anSDP / gated development processand influencing outcomes through technical expertise.

  • Proven ability tolead multiple engineering projectsfrom concept through production in a cross-functional environment.

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) inMechanical Engineering Technology Electrical Engineering Technology or a related accredited engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Product Design & Development: Ability to design develop and deliver integrated systems from concept through production.
