About This Role

We are seeking a motivated driven Senior Category Manager for Electronics and Electro-Mechanical category to contribute to our supply chain effectiveness.

Job Description

• Manages assigned Category(s) in order to maximize value reduce costs and mitigate risks.

• Leads execution of procurement tasks; including RFPs negotiations cost accountability and program implementation.

• Works with cross-functional teams to qualify and approve suppliers to fulfill business needs.

• Takes action on the changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure a successful category strategy and procurement process.

• Controls spend and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.

• Responds to critical supplier issues and problems.

• Builds and executes Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of the overall Category strategy.

• Responsible for the negotiation and execution of desired payment terms and conditions with suppliers.

• Leads strategic sourcing activities to support secondary sourcing and new product development.

• Analyzes contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.

• Executes Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with suppliers.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree

• 10 years of experience in Category Management Procurement and / or Sourcing

• 5 years of experience using supply chain management software and tools including JDE Oracle or SAP

• 5 years of experience preparing and reviewing contracts and negotiating terms
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Supply Chain Management or Business

• 7 years of progressive experience in Category Management Procurement and / or Sourcing

• Highly organized result driven and detail-oriented

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written verbal and presentation skills

• Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
