The Role

As a Senior Accountant you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax and accounting services while mentoring junior team members and supporting client relationships.

This position is ideal for a technically strong public practice professional who enjoys both client-facing work and team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual company partnership and trust tax returns
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulatory requirements
• Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Manage the workflow for the team
• Assist with the provision of business advisory and coaching services for clients

About You

• CA qualification (preferred but not required)
• Minimum of 4 years experience in Australian public practice
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in Xero including Xero Tax
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client portfolios
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
• High level of professionalism and integrity
