Senior Test Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Test Engineer to join our team supporting our government customer located in the Washington DC metro area. This is an onsite work opportunity. U.S. Citizenship required. This is a 1 year project.
What Youll Bring
- Minimum 8 years experience developing automated test suites using Cucumber (BDD) with Selenium and/or Playwright
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or related field of study.
- Experience testing applications based on user stories acceptance criteria and traceability to requirements
- Hands-on experience with manual testing including functional integration and exploratory testing
- Experience supporting regression testing and release verification in Agile environments
- Experience with Azure applications; Azure DevOps tools
- Familiarity with test documentation defect tracking and audit-ready deliverables in regulated environments
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes
What Youll Do
- Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Cucumber and Selenium with opportunities to support modernization efforts leveraging Playwright
- Execute functional integration regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system performance and reliability
- Ensure traceability between requirements test cases and defects supporting compliance with federal standards and contract requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts developers and stakeholders to refine requirements define acceptance criteria and identify test scenarios early in the SDLC
- Document test results defects and test artifacts to support audits compliance reviews and reporting requirements
- Participate in release planning sprint reviews and retrospectives contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes
- Support risk identification and mitigation related to software quality and system performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or government contracting environments
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS NIST or other federal compliance frameworks
- Exposure to CMMI ISO or similar quality standards
- Experience working in DevSecOps environments with a focus on secure and compliant software delivery
