Job Summary
Job Title: Machine Operator (Entry-Level / Trainable) FIRST SHIFT
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator with basic machining experience to support daily production operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on shop experience who is willing to learn and grow into more advanced machining responsibilities including CNC operation and setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machines safely and efficiently
- Load and unload parts and materials
- Follow work instructions and job travelers
- Perform basic in-process inspections using calipers and gauges
- Deburr and clean parts as required
- Monitor machine operation and report issues to supervisor
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous manufacturing or machining experience
- Ability to use basic measuring tools (calipers micrometers preferred)
- Ability to read simple prints and follow instructions
- Basic math skills (including decimals and fractions)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred (but not required):
- Exposure to CNC machines (loading parts offset adjustments tool changes)
- Understanding of basic machine shop practices
- Experience working in a production environment
