Aquatic Program Coordinator Summer Job Role South Kelowna (H2O)
Job Summary
Spend your summer creating fun safe and memorable experiences at the H2O Fitness and Adventure Centre! As an Aquatic Program Coordinator you will bring energy to the pool deck by teach Flow Rider and aquatic programs supporting exciting events and helping guests make the most of their visit. This role blends lifeguarding instruction and customer experience giving you the chance to build leadership skills work as part of a great team and make a real impact in the community.

Reporting directly to the Aquatic Senior Manager and Supervisors the Aquatic Program Coordinator is a key team member of Aquatic department at H2O Adventure Fitness Centre facility who will:
- Deliver Flow rider lessons and other programs to help serve our community
- Ensure the proper use and safety of members and guests using the Flow Rider and Waterslides at the H2O Adventure Fitness Centre
- Work as part of a staff/volunteer team ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
- Provide excellent customer service and create an enjoyable experience while building healthy relationships with our members
- As part of the Aquatics team you may also have the opportunity to assist in YMCA swim lessons or participate in programs as needed.
- Respond appropriately to first aid incidents and emergency situations.
- Communicate professionally with participants parents/guardians coworkers and supervisors through verbal and written communication.
- Participate in regular check-ins supervision and mentorship meetings with Aquatic Supervisor and Manager to receive feedback and support with skill development.
- Function as a positive role model by demonstrating YMCA core values (honesty caring inclusiveness responsibility respect).
