Job Summary
McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior quality cost-effective mental health services in the Boston area Massachusetts and beyond. Since 1811 McLean Hospital has been a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency research into the cause of mental illness and the training of generations of mental health care providers. McLeans multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care.This position will collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. This position will carry a total of 6-7 patients. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans that support patient-centered plans of care for both individual patients and the medical community.

-Essential Functions: Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social emotional interpersonal and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment disposition and treatment plans.
-Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.
-Monitor evaluate and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
The Trauma and Dissociative Disorders Program is a 21-bed inpatient unit specializing in the treatment of trauma-related and dissociative conditions. Patients present with a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses most commonly complex PTSD and personality disorders. Clinical presentations may include suicidal ideation recent suicide attempts and/or self-injurious behaviors. The unit prioritizes patient safety and stabilization with a strong emphasis on skills-based interventions.
Responsibilities include providing direct patient care conducting diagnostic assessments to inform treatment planning participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds delivering psychoeducation to patients and their families/support systems coordinating aftercare and discharge planning and maintaining accurate and timely medical record documentation.
Clinical responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychosocial and diagnostic assessments developing and implementing individualized treatment plans engaging in family work collaborating with internal teams and community providers and delivering patient-centered interventions including psychoeducation coping skills development (ex: CBT DBT ACT) and discharge/aftercare planning.

Must obtain LCSW within 1 year of date of hire
