Every day as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will:

  • Work with children on a 1:1 basis in a school environment
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of the children
  • Provide interventions to children with emotional support and behavioral health needs in a school setting
  • Deescalate and mitigate behaviors

You will be offered:

  • Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (52-week year long position)
  • New Pay rate: $24.00- $27.36/hr (based upon experience)

The Brandywine School located in West Chester PA offers education curriculum to children functioning at all grade levels. A multi-sensory educational strategy is used at all schools employing traditional instruction hands-on and independent learning as well as technology to individualize a students progress in all academic areas particularly math and reading. The transition from school to career and all of the necessary interrelated skills are a main focus of the school program. Devereuxs approved private schools offer high quality innovative special education programs that work in tandem with families and school districts to ensure that students can return to their local schools and communities with the tools they will need to succeed. Children and young adults may come to Devereux as a day student or as a part of residential treatment. Each student has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) which outlines goals for skill development and the best strategies by which the student can reach his/her goals.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred. Dependent upon educational background (see above). Requires strong verbal and written communication organizational and computer skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
