Senior Manufacturing Engineers are directly involved in new product introductions product transfers andmaintaining/continuously improving existing product lines by ensuring time-efficient and cost-effective processes whilemaintainingoverall product quality and compliance.

A Dayin The Life Of:

In this exciting role as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will:

• Work closely with manufacturing quality engineers other manufacturing engineers as well as R&D Strategic Sourcing Quality Sterilisation and Packaging functions.

• You will be a member of a team for an NPI project. You will provide guidance to junior engineersregardingprocesses to bestutilizeequipment and manufacturing techniques as well as develop manufacturing processes thatare applicableto statistical process control and may develop these techniques.

• Work with the site on validation strategy and execution and may be involved in designing and planning layout for such activities as plastics processing assembly and equipment implementation while adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

• Assistthe site with the design and arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.

• Demonstrate standout leadership behaviours and will have an expert understanding of a variety of manufacturing technologies and processes.

• Is an expert in understanding process improvement techniques such as DFMA Kaizen DMAIC Value Stream Mapping Lean manufacturing 6-sigma and has highly developed project management skills.

Key Skills & Experience

• MinimumLevel 8 degree inanEngineering discipline with minimum of4years of relevant experience oraMastersdegree witha minimum of 2 years relevant experience or PhD with 0 years relevant experience.

• Manufacturing engineeringexperience in a medical device related industrywith a demonstratedtrack recordof developingmaintainingand improving manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge ofpolymer processingraw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Deep knowledge of Injection Moulding ispreferable.

• Project Management of manufacturing processes from concept to delivery.

• Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals andobjectives.

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude (aptitude for understandingdesigningand using machines and/or tools).

• Ability to prepare written procedures proposals and reports.

• Knowledgeable in risk management methodologies such as PFMEA and in manufacturing plant test strategies.

• Experience inSolid Works/AutoCAD MS Office MS Projectdesirable.

• Project Management experience and qualification desirable.

• Six Sigma/Lean certified preferred.

• Experience creating/processing engineering changes in Agile preferred.

• Designs manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies equipment installation processingmachiningand material handling.

• Designs sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

• Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

• Ensures processes and proceduresare in compliance withregulations.
