Job Summary
Job Summary (Project Manager I)
- Oversee the planning implementation and tracking of specific projects from initiation to completion ensuring defined deliverables are met.
- Define project scope objectives and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Conduct research to acquire working knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Develop detailed work plans and identify/sequences project activities for successful completion.
- Determine required resources (time money equipment etc.) and develop a detailed project schedule.
- Review and revise project schedules in coordination with management and team members.
- Establish clear objectives and evaluation measures for project completion.
- Document project activities maintain secure project files and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Monitor project progress adjust plans as necessary and ensure timely quality and within-budget delivery of project deliverables.
- Establish and maintain communication schedules to update stakeholders on project status.
- Regularly review work quality to meet established project standards.
- Evaluate project outcomes as defined in the planning phase.
- Assist in defining project scope objectives and technical feasibility involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Select negotiate with and manage external consultants or vendors as needed.
- Communicate with Quality Assurance business users and development teams on project-related matters.
- Handle basic project issues and escalate complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- No direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in business administration or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
- Experience with the design development and implementation of software/hardware solutions preferred; insurance industry experience is a plus.
- PMP certification is desired but not required.
- Must have strong communication analytical customer service problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Visio Project Outlook) required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimal to no travel required.
