Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

San Jose CA (Onsite)

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong focus on infrastructure high availability and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle environments automation and database tuning in Unix-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage infrastructure-side database operations while understanding application performance dependencies
Install and configure Oracle Databases on Unix platforms
Administer Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and ASM environments
Handle database patching upgrades and version management (Oracle 19c preferred)
Diagnose and resolve database performance issues
Monitor and tune database systems for optimal performance and resource utilization
Manage database backup recovery and disaster recovery (DR) processes
Support high availability solutions such as Data Guard and RAC
Troubleshoot database and GoldenGate-related issues
Implement and maintain performance monitoring and tuning strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of database and operating system concepts
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration (19c preferred)
Experience with Oracle RAC and ASM
Expertise in database backup & recovery and DR planning
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate
Knowledge of database patching and upgrade processes
Familiarity with performance monitoring and tuning tools
Exposure to automation and AI tools/integrations is a plus

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in high-availability environments
Automation experience (scripting or AI-based tools is an advantage)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
