Position: Credit Transaction Management Transversal Administrator
Location: Montreal QC H3A 2A6
Duration: 4 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
Main Responsibilities
- Perform detailed individual reviews of approximately 650 credit protection files to validate the presence and enforceability of the Legal Opinion.
- Liaise with Business partners external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure that the required Legal Opinion on Credit Protections is obtained for every relevant transaction.
- Input/validate in risk systems Legal Opinions that are received and/or missing
- Document findings noting remediation steps required for each non-compliant file.
Secondary and Additional Responsibilities
Legal Documentation Management
- Verify receipt of all required legal documents and upload them to the local repository; maintain tracking logs.
- Input/validate covenant guarantee insurance and collateral data in risk systems and local tools.
- Conduct conformity controls on flagged client documentation and respond to legal document requests subpoenas and file inquiries.
- Review legal paperwork for potential Fed Reserve (BIC) pledges and note covenant defaults.
Risk & Credit Operations
- Enter data for annual reviews internal ratings capital market lines and securitization programs.
- Authorize loan drawdowns letters of credit and process perfection service invoices.
- Monitor and act on daily/weekly/monthly exception and data quality reports; resolve core system issues impacting risk data.
- Prepare and circulate internal exposure/control reports (e.g. past due reviews watchlists provisions).
Process & Quality Controls
- Perform periodic controls and escalations for new amended or renewed facilities (covenants guarantees legal docs) to ensure accuracy/completeness.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly attestations in ORUS and daily monitoring in Hobart.
- Maintain and improve procedures; identify efficiency opportunities.
Team & Project Support
- Participate in cross training mentor new hires and contribute to UAT and other project activities.
- Execute any additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years relevant experience in corporate banking documentation and/or strong knowledge of banking products and practices including and understanding of loan structure terms and credit agreement
- Experience in Middle Office and/or Operations environment preferable
Technical skills:
- Microsoft Office advanced technical skills (i.e. MS Word Excel PowerPoint Access) Power Bi Power query a plus
- Knowledge of LoanIQ a plus
Soft skills:
- Highly effective communicator written and oral with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multi-task and manage workflow in a changing deadline driven environment.
