Job Summary
Role: Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Level II / III)
Location: Chagrin Falls OH (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $30 $35/hour bonus potential
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support the maintenance repair and inspection of construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This role involves working hands-on with a wide range of machinery and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in construction equipment semi-trucks trailers and small tools
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes brake work engine diagnostics and system checks
- Troubleshoot hydraulic electrical and diesel systems
- Conduct inspections to identify equipment issues and recommend solutions
- Repair or fabricate parts as needed including welding and component modifications
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards
- Support shop operations and assist with additional maintenance tasks as needed
- 2 years of experience working on heavy construction equipment or diesel mechanics
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic electrical and engine systems
- Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators loaders skid steers and trucks
- Ability to diagnose and repair both minor and major mechanical issues
- Comfortable working in a hands-on shop-based environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- CDL is a plus but not required
