Randstad is seeking a highly specialized Enterprise Information Architect to join a premier client in Washington DC as a key driver of their Enterprise Productivity Applications team. This role serves as the bridge between technical engineering and sophisticated information science tasked with architecting a secure compliant and high-value Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will lead the charge in scaling Microsoft Copilot and AI Agent adoption ensuring that organizational knowledge is accessible yet strictly governed through advanced data classification permissions modeling and retention controls. Operating at the intersection of AI-driven productivity and rigorous E5 security you will transform how the enterprise creates manages and protects its intellectual capital in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Core Responsibilities- AI Strategy & Governance: Architect and scale Copilot-driven workflows ensuring AI grounding is anchored in secure role-based data environments.
- Information Lifecycle Management: Design and implement enterprise-wide data classification sensitivity labeling and retention policies using Microsoft Purview to manage the full content lifecycle.
- Security & Access Control: Engineer complex permissions models-including Entra ID and Conditional Access-to prevent data oversharing and ensure compliant collaboration across Teams SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Predictive Modeling: Develop and manage predictive cost models for AI Agent adoption and enterprise-scale M365 resource consumption.
- Compliance Oversight: Manage eDiscovery audit and records management protocols within the M365 E5 stack to mitigate organizational risk.
- Knowledge Systems Design: Lead the development of enterprise information architecture and content management strategies that align with both human productivity and machine learning requirements.
Required Qualifications- Advanced Education: Masters Degree in Information and Library Sciences (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution with a focus on information architecture or enterprise knowledge systems.
- Platform Expertise: Deep technical mastery of the Microsoft 365 E5 productivity stack including Teams Outlook SharePoint OneDrive and the Power Platform.
- Purview Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview specifically regarding data residency records management and automated labeling.
- Identity & Access Mastery: Strong command of Entra ID and SharePoint/Teams permission structures as they relate to AI data grounding and security.
- Strategic Analytical Skills: Proven ability to balance high-level risk management with organizational productivity including experience in financial forecasting for IT services.
- Location: Ability to work with our client onsite/hybrid in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
