General Summary
Is the clinical lead of the ABA teams. Through continual learning and personal clinical development the BA uses research and professional collaboration to create and implement systems for staff training and overall program development. The BA collaborates closely with the Program Director to implement program initiatives for program and staff improvement including being responsible for oversight of cases for all other clinicians in the program. The BA oversees BCBAs BCaBAs BCs RBTs and BTs. The BA is expected to hold a higher level of clinical expertise in order to oversee the staff who conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments including functional analyses and behavior analytic interpretations of the results. The BA also oversees staff design and implementation of behavior analytic interventions.

Essential Functions:
- Develops and leads clinical trainings as a part of orientation and ongoing staff development.
- Identifies skill development needs of staff through completion of core competencies and other methods. Provides supervision and feedback in order to increase the skill level of staff specific to their development needs.
- Assists clinical staff in meeting requirements for BCBA BCaBA and RBT certifications by conducting assessments and on-going group and individual supervision for RBTs BCBAs and BCaBAs.
- Ensures that all behavior analytic programming conducted under their supervision by WellSpan Philhaven staff is provided in a safe and ethical manner and that the BA and WellSpan Philhaven staff will train provide feedback and/or report to designated authorities if the family or other non-WellSpan Philhaven professionals engage in unsafe or unethical behavioral programming.
- Engages in functional assessment of problematic behaviors as well as assessments of skill deficits motivating and other environmental variables in order to increase use of safe and socially acceptable behaviors and decrease problematic behaviors.
- Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the patient of social interaction with the BA.
- Accurately collects and analyzes behavior data to make decisions about treatment interventions.
- Designs treatment plan goals and interventions that are based in research and are aligned with the dimensions of Applied Behavior Analysis outlined in (Baer Wolf and Risely 1968).
- Seeks out appropriate consultation with other BAs or professionals involved when encountering treatment programming that is unfamiliar.
- Oversees and provides training and monitors fidelity of behavioral interventions for family members and other professional staff caring for the patient.
- Provides direct on-site one-on-one and group supervision for BCs
- Directly designs and supervises behavior analytic plans and interventions for skill development and/or reduction of problematic behavior in which other WellSpan Philhaven staff have not received sufficient training and exposure to previously.
- Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
- Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the BC and functions within boundaries of the BC role in providing treatment.
- Understands and designs behavioral plans and programming within the regulatory scope of the service provided.
- Maintains awareness of patients history present status diagnoses and treatment plan.
- Maintains appropriate written documentation of direct and in direct service with the patient and family.
- Provides complete timely clear and legible documentation in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
- Attends treatment team meetings supervision meetings trainings performance evaluations and other administrative meetings as assigned.
- Maintains the billable expectation of the program.

- Attends pre-service meetings supervision meetings trainings performance evaluations and other administrative meetings as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Education:
- Masters Degree From a board approved accredited college or university including a major course of study in school clinical or counseling psychology special education Applied Behavior Analysis or another related field. Required
Work Experience:
- 1 year Experience in providing Applied Behavior Analysis services and experience in developing/implementing behavioral analytic treatment plans. Required and
- Experience in clinical or counseling psychology special education Applied Behavior Analysis or another related field. Required
Licenses:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst Upon Hire Required
Drivers License Statement:
Must possess a valid drivers license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability in the care and management of the unique needs of individuals with developmental disorders.
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
- Analytical abilities.
- Visual ability to observe patient behavior and dynamics in order to prepare and review written documentation.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to give critical feedback and facilitate conversations with potentially disgruntled consumers.
- Must be able to provide own transportation from one client to another.
- Must demonstrate a strong professional interest in being a part of a multidisciplinary team that specializes in the assessment and treatment of the social emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents with developmental disorders such as Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Ability to work under stress.
