Group Financial Reporting and Technical Accountant (6 month FTC)

Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will support the Head of External Reporting and Accounting Policy and Senior Technical Accounting Manager in the groups external reporting including the annual and interim reports and Finrep provision of technical accounting advice and implementation of accounting and regulatory changes.

Working as part of the Finance teamour ideal team member will have previous experience in providingend to end support on the audit process assisting in managing the audit relationship and respondingto audit requests and challenges with excellent writing andreporting skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of the group financial statements at year end and half year in Workiva
• Ownership of the quarterly Finrep reporting process including monitoring and imparting changes in PRA requirements managing the group timetable consolidating divisional returns and submission to the PRA
• Assist with technical deep dives to maintain high quality reporting across the group
• Provide accounting advice and training to divisional finance teams
• Manage inter departmental collaboration and encourage teamwork
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the regulatory bodies are carried out to the standards required

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

• ACA qualifications or equivalent
• Experience of financial reporting and technical accounting

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

• Strong audit and / or technical accounting background in financial services
• Strong knowledge of a broad range of IFRS standards particularly IFRS 9
