The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Real-Time Software Engineer to join our Special Projects Dallas (SPD) P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) team in Richardson TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
At Boeing our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next generation software capabilities for some amazing aerospace platforms. The Boeing SPD AAS team provides the mission systems software that runs on the P-8A to provide the warfighter the ability to perform mission and tactic planning interface with the sensor display sensor data to the operator and replay missions. The team also provides the capability to train fleet operators on the AAS mission by adding simulations to the baseline P-8 Training this role you will execute the full lifecycle development including software engineering life-cycle design development integration and maintenance support for the P-8A AAS Mission Systems contracts.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Position Responsibilities:
Partner with hardware software and systems engineering to design develop troubleshoot and test P-8A AAS Mission Systems and Training Systems software
Assists with the development documentation and maintenance of architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems.
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Bachelors Degree
1 years of experience in real-time software development
1 years of experience with development of Java or Linux Operating Systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science and 2 years of related work experience OR Bachelors Degree and 6 years of directly related work experience OR 10 years of related relevant experience
Experience with development of OpenGL
Experience in AGILE/DevOps methodologies
Experience in Real-Time Algorithm implementation
Experience in Development documentation and maintenance of architectures requirements interfaces and designs for software systems
