Maintenance Technician

Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in North Charleston South Carolina on Variable shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance on factory equipment

• Troubleshoots analyzes inspects disassembles rebuilds modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics hydraulics and pneumatics

• Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment

• Responds to requests for equipment repair

• Maintains and manages components and replacement part inventories

• Works under limited supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston SC (BSC).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Availability to work variable shifts with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training

• 1 year of aerospace manufacturing or fabrication experience

• 1 years of experience in equipment maintenance

• 1 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design)

• 1 years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM) Oscilloscopes AC/DC Power supplies Frequency Generators and/or Power Meters

• 1 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience troubleshooting and operating PLCs (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with CNCs lathes and fabrication equipment.

• 1 years of mechanical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical pneumatic hydraulic systems.

• 1 years of electrical troubleshooting experience utilizing volt-ohm meters and electrical system drawings.

• Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Shift

This position is for variable shift (shift 4).Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.
