Working as part of the Building Services team you will beassessing applications and providing specialist advice to internaland external customers for Residential Design Code variations. Youwill prepare written reports for the approval or refusal of theproposed variations while undertaking negotiation with applicantsratepayers and other interested parties to ensure that consistentapplication of the Residential Design Code principles areachieved.

This role may suit someone that has previous work experience asa building surveyor urban planner or a shire liaison for abuilding company. Your strengths include excellent interpersonaland negotiation skills attention to detail and well-developedverbal and written communication skills. You musthave comprehensive knowledge of the Residential Design Codes ofWestern Australia and be confident and consistent in your decisionmaking.

To be considered for this role you must have a WA C classdrivers and a recognised urban planning qualification such as aBachelor Degree Graduate Certificate in Development Planning orsimilar or a qualification appropriate under the Building Services(Registration) Act 2011.
