Scope
The High School Missions and Spiritual Life Coordinator will serve as the primary coordinator for student life including chapel missions and community-building experiences. The Spiritual Life Coordinator will serve on the Bible Department Team and will work closely with the Bible Department Chair. With all of CAL this position will seek to develop students with a heart for God who grow as Jesus did in wisdom stature and favor with God and man.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith
- Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth morality and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- College degree or higher in Bible or related area of study
- 5 years of prior missions experience
Responsibilities & Goals
- Chapel: Collaborate with the Chapel Team on weekly chapels
- Participate in annual calendar planning
- Help coordinate outside speakers and worship teams for Chapel
- Plan and support special chapel events
Missions: Mobilize equip and send students/teachers to engage with communities beyond CAL- Lead staff in cultivating a mission-mindset in our students particularly emphasizing intellectual curiosity and compassion
- Organize and execute a Love on Louisville Day during which all students serve in a local mission setting
- Organize 6 additional Local Mission opportunities throughout the year
- Support teachers organizing global mission opportunities
- Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance to students
- Partner with counselors and school leadership to support students through crisis intervention
- Develop and maintain enduring relationships by attending various after-school student activities
- Teach 3 sections in the Bible department (to integrate with the Bible Team and engage students).
Outcomes
- Deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ for student
- Increase in population who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- Enhanced mission programs
