This role sits within a high-performing digital newsroom playing a key part in how news is curated presented and delivered to millions of users across core platforms. If you thrive in a breaking news environment have strong editorial judgement and enjoy shaping homepage content in real time this could be a great fit.
The Role:
Youll support the editorial team by:
- Curating and managing two key homepage platforms
- Editing and positioning content including video articles headlines and alerts
- Reacting quickly to breaking news and updating content in real time
- Writing and sending alerts as stories develop
- Collaborating with writers editors and international teams
- Managing early morning handovers from US teams and aligning on editorial priorities
- Applying audience-focused thinking and day-part logic across US and European audiences
What Were Looking For:
- 2 years experience in adigital newsroom environment
- Stronghomepage editing experience(essential)
- Excellent editorial judgement and ability to make fast decisions
- Strong writing skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Experience working with writers editors and digital content teams
- Familiarity with digital content formats (video articles live updates)
- Highly organised adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
