Job Description:

At Regions the Database Administrator analyzes designs creates and implements databases including access methods device allocations validating checks organization and security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Designs data models and physical databases data dictionaries and schemas

• Executes the installation upgrades and tests of database softwares

• Develops and implements strategic database recovery plans and procedures

• Troubleshoots and resolves database issues effectively

• Monitors database environment to ensure ongoing efficiency

• Researches new technologies and advises senior leadership on the changing environment

• Prioritizes customer service and interpersonal relationships

• Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• Manages and coordinates multiple projects

• Partners across Technology Operations Digital and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed implemented and monitored to strengthen risk management compliance and cyber security effectively mitigating risk to levels within the companys risk appetite

• Practices disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes systems products and/or services and ensures appropriate updates to procedures training and controls are made accordingly

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science

• Or High School Diploma/GED with completion of a technical training program in web programming language

• Nine (9) years of experience in Computer Science or related field

Additional Job Description

This position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a manager will set the work schedule for this position including in-office will not provide relocation assistance for this position and relocation would be at your expense. This position must bewithin a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham AL Atlanta GA or Charlotte NC. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.
