Were currently searching for a Health Promotion Coordinator to join our Hokie Wellness team in Blacksburg VA to help us in our mission. So if youre passionate about student well-being please keep reading.

HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) Youll be joining the Hokie Wellness team; a department centered on providing holistic well-being resources to the Virginia Tech community by focusing on a variety of health and well-being topics.
2) Youll be reporting to the Assistant Director of Health Education in a Regular twelve-month 100% administrative professional appointment.
3) Youll be responsible for advancing student health and well-being through the implementation facilitation and supervision of evidence-informed theory-driven initiatives focused on connection and belonging
4) Youll oversee the daily operations of The Connection Project (TCP) as well as other programs and initiatives that enhance student connection and well-being.
5) Youll provide direct supervision to student facilitators and staff who support these initiatives.
6) Youll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
7) Youll be offered a base compensation package between $48000 - $51000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance paid leave retirement tuition assistance VT discounts and so much more!

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in human development counseling psychology social work public health or a related field.
Experience with group facilitation/management skills and facilitating small groups of college students on mental health/connection topics.
Experience supervising and mentoring student staff with strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience working collaboratively with colleagues both departmentally and across campus to enhance programs supporting student connection and well-being.
Experience facilitating and promoting programs that foster belonging connection and well-being.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in human development counseling psychology social work public health or a related field.
Prior experience collecting and working with both quantitative and qualitative data/research methods.
Professional writing skills.

Overtime Status

Exempt: Not eligible for overtime

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some evenings/weekends as needed
