Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is a multidisciplinary engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms insurance companies and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. As a firm our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents equipment failures personal injury claims and damage to residential or commercial many cases we provide structural design services for repairs and retrofits to damaged or otherwise deficient residential commercial and industrial structures. About This Role
The Senior Consultant in the Rail Practice will lead rail technology development and evaluation projects. The role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities including managing projects. This position requires experience in managing technology implementation projects identifying railroad needs and developing technology solutions. The Senior Consultant will lead other staff and contractors specializing in software algorithm and technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technology consulting projects within the ESi railroad practice and lead associated staff and contractors.
- Provide technology consulting services to rail clients including the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence.
- Manage project schedules budgets and deliverables while ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports proposals and client presentations.
- Develop new technology solutions including building presentations and presenting to rail clients.
- As-needed travel to client sites to accomplish objectives.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth and technical advancement of the Rail Practice.
Experience Requirements
- 10 years of professional experience in developing technologies utilized in the rail industry.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.
- Strong background in client interaction including identifying client needs and associated technology solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to clients and technical audiences.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical software or related engineering
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Intermediate/advanced skills in LLM use and application with software code.
