Land Surveyor

• Visit multiple job sites daily to collect survey measurements and descriptive data
• Operate survey instruments including robotic total stations and data collectors
• Set stakes marks and locate existing survey monuments with accuracy
• Maintain and manage survey equipment in the field and on vehicles
• Enter and manage field data using appropriate software in the field or office
• Prepare survey deliverables including topographic maps ALTA surveys and grade sheets
• Research and interpret record documents such as maps deeds and easements
• Support survey project documentation and data organization
• Communicate effectively with survey and engineering teams
• Conduct site visits safely across varied terrain and conditions

• 2 years of field survey experience using modern survey equipment
• Experience with Carlson data collection software
• Familiarity with subdivision mapping (Tract Maps Parcel Maps Records of Survey)
• Experience supporting boundary analysis and field data processing
• Exposure to ALTA and topographic survey preparation
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (C3D 2020 preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• 2 years of experience in construction staking and land development projects
• Recent field experience in California
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry equipment
• Ability to travel between multiple job sites daily
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
• Strong situational awareness in active construction environments
• Position will require an annual physical & fitness for duty exam with hearing test.
