This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (except for Alaska and/or Hawaii). Team members who choose virtual / remote work should have an adequate space to serve as their home office and must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.This position will require employees to come on site to one of our St. Louis campus locations a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed. #LI-REMOTE

Responsibilities

As an Engineer 2 Software for Product Delivery Vehicle Solutions team you will be responsible for debugging patching and improving the overall health and stability of applications in Vehicle Solutions. It is important for you tointerpret end-user business needs to develop and/or modify technical solutions for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed addition the Engineer 2 - Software will perform unit and integration testing and develop unit test scripts.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Using broad expertise and skills to resolve a wide range of complex issues
  • Contributing to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
  • Assisting in the development of strategic planning for the department
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced software engineers
  • Following and implementingdefinedstandards processes and procedures for the department
  • Researching and seeking out emergingtechnologies that would be beneficial to the team
  • Must havestrong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge
  • Must possess initiative results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
  • Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 3 years experience in software programming and development
  • 3 years experience in Unix Operating system.
  • 1 years of experience with Rest/Soap Web Services
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high demand and challenging environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Management Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Experience creating and implementing PL/SQL in Oracle Database Environment
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
  • Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN experience preferred)
