Consistent with the Agreement between the North Canton City Schools Board of Education and the North Canton Education Association the following position is being posted for the period of April23 - 29 2026 or until filled.

Gifted Teacher

Contract Type: Teacher
Location: North Canton Middle School
Full-time
Effective Dates: 2026-27 school year
This teacher will teach the 6th and 7th grade Discover program (social studies) which is for students who are identified as gifted (Superior Cognitive)
Licensure Requirement: Candidate must possess by the start of the school year an Ohio teaching license that certifiies them in either Middle Childhood grades 4-9 social studies or Elementary grades 1 to 8 and must also meet one of the following criteria:

Posses a Gifted Intervention Specialist (GIS) endorsement
Willing to begin GIS endorsement coursework in the 2026-2027 school year with the ultimate goal of obtaining the GIS endorsement within two years.
