Job Summary

Description

As a School-Based Behavioral Health Coordinator you will help support the school-based clinical team and leadership by providing essential administrative and program coordination services in partnership with school district administration. You will help improve the programming for the social emotional and behavioral well-being of students within licensed mental health programs embedded in local school districts. You will travel to the main Behavioral Health Center and school-based sites. You will report to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health and work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate both verbally and in writing with school district partners agency leadership clinical team members students and their families.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the school-based behavioral health team ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Independently create reports and track data outcomes and follow-up actions for the team.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic client record systems; ensure compliant data entry and reporting.
  • Use applications including Outlook and Excel to support communication reporting and program operations.
  • Help with case management activities and maintain knowledge of local services within the Capital District to support referrals and care coordination.
  • Participate as a member of the school-based team by supporting onboarding of new staff contribute to team meetings and promote a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Support team cohesion through creative engagement strategies.
  • Prepare and transport materials and supplies to school-based sites.
  • Work with diverse populations including students and families from varied backgrounds.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
  • there is travel reimbursement as this position requires travel between schools in the program.

Requirements and Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling or a related field required
  • Masters degree and Licensure eligible preferred
  • One (1) year of experience working in a school setting and as part of an interdisciplinary team required
  • Knowledge of behavioral health interventions crisis response and trauma-informed care practices required
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to travel between sites required
