Software Engineer - ETL/Informatica Developer
within PNCs Retail Technology organization you can be based in Pittsburgh PA; Strongsville OH; Cleveland OH; Birmingham AL; Phoenix AZ; Lakewood CO.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Design develop and maintain ETL workflows and mappings for enterprise data integration
  • Build and support data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange
  • Extract and process data from mainframe sources (VSAM flat files COBOL copybooks DB2)
  • Implement complex data transformations and business rules
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation reconciliation and performance tuning
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle Mongo DB SQL Server or Teradata
  • Monitor ETL jobs troubleshoot issues and provide support
  • Ensure data quality accuracy and completeness
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (mappings workflows)
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts QA and application teams to clarify data requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange
  • Strong experience designing building and supporting enterprise-scale data pipelines
  • Proven ability to work with relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server Teradata and NoSQL platforms like MongoDB
  • Solid understanding of data integration from mainframe sources including VSAM flat files COBOL copybooks and DB2
  • Advanced SQL skills for data validation reconciliation and performance tuning
  • Experience implementing complex data transformations business rules and data quality checks
  • Knowledge of ETL job monitoring troubleshooting and production support processes
  • Strong background in technical documentation including ETL mappings workflows and design specifications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts QA and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience ensuring data quality accuracy and completeness across enterprise data systems
