Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Telemetry (PCCU) team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with critical cardiac and multisystem conditions along with expertise in advanced cardiac therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to inpatient adults with life-threatening cardiac or multisystem conditions
- Monitor patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy vasoactive infusions and anticoagulation
- Administer thrombolytic therapy defibrillation/cardioversion and other cardiac interventions
- Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring EKG and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
- Float between units or facilities as needed depending on patient care requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff
- Document patient care and interventions accurately in EPIC
Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- SC RN (South Carolina Registered Nurse) License
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in cardiac telemetry or critical care
- Experience with vasoactive drug administration antiarrhythmic drug therapy and defibrillation/cardioversion
- Comfortable working with patients requiring advanced cardiac care such as those with sepsis MI unstable angina and Coronary Artery Disease
