Job Summary:

Bloomberg Philanthropies Healthcare Education High SchoolInterns will support daily operations in a healthcare environment while gaining exposure to various departments. This role is observational and nonclinical focused on professional skill-building teamwork and learning how healthcare systems function.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled atHawthorne Academy of Health Sciences(typically ages 1618).

• Interestin healthcare careers and willingness to learn.

• Ability to follow instructions work in teams andmaintainconfidentiality.

• Basic computer and communication skills.

• Successful completion of required onboarding (e.g. orientation safety training health clearances per facility policy).

• Parent/guardian consent if under 18.

Major Responsibilities:

• Follow all hospital policies including safety confidentiality and infection prevention.

• Assistwith basic administrative tasks such as organizing materialsde-identifieddata entry filing and preparing supplies.

• Assistswith research projects data analysis and/or creating various reports

• Shadow staff members to learn about clinical and operational workflows.

• Participatewith the teamin training check-ins and assigned learning activities.

• Maintain professional behavior punctuality and communicationalways.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand and walk for periods of time.

• Work may occur in clinical office or simulation settings.
