$51.05 - $76.60AtriumHealth/Levine Canceris looking for an experiencedfull timeadvancedpractice provider(APP)specializedinoncologyto providequality health services to the patients in the Charlotte and surrounding community.This position is occupied byAGACNP/ACNPnurse practitioners (NP)and/or physician assistants (PA) whocare for patients in the hospital as they go throughdiagnosis/treatment ofoncologicdisorders.The APPis responsible forevaluating and treating patients withmalignancies and/or disordersrelated to their oncologic diagnoses including but not limited toearly phase clinical trialpatients.

Full-time(40 hours)
Dayshift four10-hourshifts includingSaturday and Sunday
Holidaysrotation and back-up call
No night shifts
Teaching opportunities withAPPand PhysicianFellows
Chemotherapy credentialing is optional
Position Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.Must be Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant.Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license. BLS for healthcareproviderfrom AHA.
Nurse practitionersare required tohave a masters degree or doctorate in nursing practice.
Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
1yearsof experiencepreferred. Oncology experiencepreferredbut not.
Demonstratesappropriate criticalthinking and interpersonal skills when working in afast pacedhigh acuitywork environment.Able to effectively prioritize competing demands andmaintainfocus amid frequent interruptions.
Able to work withmultidisciplinaryteam.
Essential Functions
Performs initial and periodic medical history physical examinations and daily
assessments.Able to perform thorough history and physical assessment.
Recordsfindings of examinationsassessmentsandplan of care.
Writesappropriate prescriptions.
Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
Determinestreatment plan forpatientin coordination with multidisciplinary team.
Documents all patient encounters records observations interventions and
actions in a medicallyappropriate manneron the patients medical record.
Plans andconductschemotherapy education in collaboration with pharmacy.
Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
Activelyparticipatesand engages in goals of care conversations
Attendsparticipatesand contributes to group/practice meetings and development
of policies and procedures when requested.
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking standing sitting lifting reaching bending stooping pushing and
pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients
medical equipment and supplies. Must speak English fluently and in understandable
terms. Must possess intact sense of sight hearing smell touch and finger dexterity. Must
have the ability toreact and perform in stressful situations.
