Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality imaging results.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders
Perform nuclear imaging procedures using gamma cameras PET/CT and SPECT systems
Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and comfort
Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment
Process and evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Follow strict radiation safety and infection control protocols
Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment
Educate patients on procedures and post-scan instructions
Collaborate with physicians radiologists and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
Certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT)
Active state license (if applicable)
BLS Certification required
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
Experience with PET/CT and SPECT imaging
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
