Job Summary
Perform a variety of entry-level estimating duties associated with the development of detailed construction estimates through quantity take-offs and interaction with subcontractors and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Quantity/Cost Take-Offs
Distribution of bid documents
Understands the project/program and its requirements
Obtains and reviews proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
Builds relationships with key vendors (subcontractors suppliers architects etc.)
Requirements:
BS/BA in engineering construction science architecture or relevant discipline strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; 0-3 years of estimating experience
Familiarity with construction materials means and methods
Strong math and technology ability with an analytical mindset
Proficient in relevant software
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
Thoroughness and reliability
Excellent organizational skills
