Our team in Tewksbury Massachusetts is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as a Principal Software Engineering Architect.The candidate is expected to be able to comprehend customer needs and translate them into viable architectural and design solutions. The selected candidate must also be able to use their sound and demonstrable understanding of software principles theories and concepts related to software engineering and demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.

• Work together with the team to deliver great products for the user with the resources available
• Introduce modern architecture design solutions and processes to improve the product
• Identify manage and mitigate technical risks
• Help mentor and foster the teams technical and professional development

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience architecting multi-security level mission-critical software systems
• Experience translating system requirements into scalable implementable software architectures and guiding technical execution across teams
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• 4 years of design or architecting experience
• Effective presentation and written communication skills
• Experience architecting/designing to meet data processing performance requirements
• Strong collaboration skills with hardware integration & test and program leadership to ensure end-to-end system performance and delivery
• Experience working in classified environments with strong understanding of security constraints and data handling requirements

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
