About the Role

Reporting to the Team Lead Midwest Family Services the Case Worker will play a pivotal role as part of the Supporting Recovery Program Local Care Team. Reporting to the Team Lead - Midwest Family Services this role will provide clients with recovery and healing support services and will case-manage alongside Support Workers Support Coordinators and Peer Recovery Workers. Additionally the Case Worker will contribute to the values of Ruah by providing a personalised approach to each client advocate for their engagement with relevant services and monitor their progress towards goals.

This is a full-time max-term position to 31 December 2027.

What were looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

Tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent relevant qualification (e.g. Mental Health Nursing Occupational Therapy or Aboriginal Health Practitioner).

Minimum of five (5) years in a similar client-facing position within the community services sector focusing on family and domestic violence.

Demonstrated experience of case management with diverse clients to achieve outcomes.

Demonstrated experience in report writing.

Advanced interpersonal and trauma-informed communication skills.

Experience in advocacy on behalf of clients.

Broad knowledge of social work interventions models and approaches.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and client management systems.

Ability to apply research knowledge and skills to understand evaluate and inform practice.

Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

Ability to identify establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion - including gender

sexuality disability cultural age and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.
