Get to Know the Role

You will lead the design development and maintenance of our mission-critical backend systems driving technological advancements and setting the standard for engineering excellence. You will be reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager.

This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design and write with the latest GO language to improve the availability scalability latency and efficiency of Grabs range of services
• You will work with infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services and performing root cause analysis investigations
• You will work with mobile team to build reusable modularized mobile components utilising scalable APIs
• You will work with different engineering teams to explore and create new design/architectures geared towards scale and performance
• You will participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Currently pursue a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
• You have exposure to backend development concepts such as APIs databases and server-side programming.
• You have basic understanding of software design patterns design principles software architecture and testing methodologies (unit integration functional).
• You can be a good coder in any language but willing to work on Golang
• You have proficiency in spoken and written English
