Physical Therapist Hand Therapy
Job Summary
The North Liberty Hospital department of Rehabilitation Therapies is seeking a Physical Therapist with a specialization in hand therapy. This candidate will administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to an orthopedic outpatient setting.
- Provide quality patient care evaluation assessment and treatment appropriate for patients needs. Assignment will involve hand and upper limb rehabilitation including fabrication of customized splints in an outpatient setting.
- Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs
- Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner
- Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality
- Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public
Performs special projects and tasks as assigned
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: This role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts within clinic hours (7:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m. MondayFriday) which may vary based on staffing needs.
Pay Grade: 06 Highlights:

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelors Degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required
Entry level experience in physical therapy in an outpatient setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Licenses/ Certifications:
Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
Desirable Qualifications:
1-3 years experience in Physical Therapy
1-3 years experience in the rehabilitation of the upper limb with emphasis on the wrist and hand including fabrication of customized splints
1-3 years experience in evaluation and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders
Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
