Associate Engineer

Were looking for an Associate Engineer to join our Design team based in this exciting and rewarding role you will lead the delivery of the most complex construction engineering services while supporting and developing others to deliver highquality safe and buildable engineering solutions. Kier Design is a top25 engineering consultancy delivering constructionfocused innovative and buildable solutions across the UK. With access to Kiers 11bn project pipeline we work across major infrastructure construction and public sector schemes. Location : Birmingham Hours : 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired just let us know when you speak to us What will you be responsible for As an Associate Engineer youll take a senior role within the Construction Engineering team leading the delivery of complex engineering services while supporting others to deliver safe and buildable outcomes. Your day to day will include: Leading the design and delivery of complex temporary works above and below ground in all materials integrated with permanent works where required Acting as Project Lead managing technical scope programme budget and client relationships across bids and live projects Providing technical assurance through design reviews thirdparty assessments and resolution of engineering issues and incidents Supporting bid and tender activity through outline designs feasibility studies value engineering and buildability solutions Leading mentoring and developing engineers sharing best practice and contributing to technical standards and training What are we looking for This role of Associate Engineer is great if you: Are a Chartered Engineer or member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CEng MICE) with significant postqualification experience Have a strong background in temporary works design and checking across a range of construction environments Can demonstrate extensive experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams within a consultancy or contractorled environment Are commercially aware with experience supporting bids fees programme and budget management Rewards and benefits Were proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
